Hey everyone!
So far I've been a MODO guy but I'm missing plugins and functions that are only available to the big players ala MAX and MAYA.
Can anyone recommend good tutorials explaining a fast and easy modelling workflow in MAYA?
I know the basics about modelling from MODO but many tools behave quite different.
Recommendations?
Thanks!

As soon as my Thesis is submitted in September I am going to jump into Modo full on.

Heard of tons of problems regarding UV'ing, bringing that over to Maya/Max and all that stuff.
My main problem with Modo is that I'd really like to have vRay for Matte Painting.
Functions like Fog, Fog Height, specific material settings are not available in Modo nor Octane (which would be another good render available for Modo).
What ?!!
Cant agreed with you. Most of those tools can be found in Maya too, the only new and powerful tool that nobody else have is MeshFusion. For me that the only and main difference between Maya and Modo. Other stuff is pretty similar.
Here is the pretty proper way of modeling in Maya 2013.

I am using Maya 2016 right now and there is a lot of improvements in modeling even comparing with 2015. So still very powerful tool for modeling.
