I like your sketches, so I think it's worthwhile to do something.

Desynchronize the arms from the legs (put your arms keys a bit further from the legs like just a frame or 2) and you'll have a very sweet looking run cycle. It's already looking good, it's just a matter of improving it a little.
You sure you can't make it to the deadline ? Because judging by this run cycle, this is a promessing level !
Still, I'll continue out of romance for animation...and spiderman..
