Zbrush My model is white?

No matter what model I load it comes out purely white.

I was trying to get poly paint working and this happened.

Is the material set to flatcolor? What do your render palette settings look like? Does this appear even when you restart the program, and use default zbrush models/primitives?

Not sure on the first too, I was trying to set up to try out poly paint, and I may have accidentally applied a color (object fill) to the material RGB.

I tried importing another model and it showed up the same, also when I restarted zbrush it stayed, maybe I need to reinitialize?

What's odd is that the model showing in the tool menu shows to have the detail but the model presented does not.

I looked in render and it was set to preview and I'm not using the flat material.

Thats your problem. Save the tool you want out separately and open it in a new project. You probably have some weird settings in your project somewhere.

I almost never use projects, they get muddy and full of crap I don't want.

Thanks jfitch I'll give that a try when I get home. That's probably why my tool looks fine in the preview but not in the opened project.

I tried saving the tool out of the project and the problem followed the tool. I think its the material... Still not sure how to fix this -..-

this only seems to be on my one tool. The Zbrush defaults don't have this issue.

Are you willing to post the tool? I'm not sure how to help otherwise.

We fixed it, hooray! The solution, even if it wasn't the only way, was to export as an OBJ and reimport it into a fresh scene.
