Object Disappears when using Viewport canvas.

Trying to adjust 3dsmax viewport clipping has been a huge problem whenever I try to use viewport canvas my object disappears, the pivot still appears.
I goggled around and the solutions all seem to aim at viewport clipping issue. I have tried tweaking it. I use tiff format when painting. I am wondering if the file format being painted in causes this?

Try an Orthographic viewport (Front, User, etc.). If the model is visible then yes it's viewport clipping. For a Perspective view it might help to reset the zoom level (default hotkey Z).

Texture format should not affect visibility, unless the TIFF is being used in Opacity. I can't recall if the material matters or not.

Tried it.It didn't work. I kinda figured a workaround. If the object disappears. Reimport it into the scene with the Viewport canvas open, select the object and paint away with the brush. Don't know why. Seems to wor for now.

Which version of Max? Latest service pack?

3dsmax 2014. Not sure if its the latest service park
