Low-poly Zeppelin in need of critique

Hey!

After a few simple models like barrels and books I decided it was time to try modelling something a bit more complex. I would appreciate your C&C in order to improve.

The fin you have on the top looks like it might cause an issue, it looks like it's non-manifold geo.

Just need to fix that and you'll be good for texturing.

Yep, it's non-manifold.

I thought those weren't a problem unless I was planning to print the model. At least some of the references I have been looking at seem to sometimes use a plane to imply detail with a texture - but I'm guessing the issue here is that you can see both sides of the texture?

Regardless, I'll get it fixed and I'll try to read up a bit more about non-manifold structures.

is it non manifold tho? i guess the vertices on the bottom row are not merged, just with a distance of 0 to each other?

They are currently merged yes, but I can fix that.

My plan was to have a mostly transparent texture there with some antennas or spikes.

Thanks. I'm planning on doing hand painted textures similar to the barrel but I need some additional practise on simpler models before I tackle this one.
