I'm currently hiring modellers to work on my indie game Maia (and other up coming projects) in our new central Oxford office.
We're looking for an artist who can fulfill our need for 3d hard surface assets. The work will range from small props to massive vehicles. We're looking for applicants who can gel well with a team, but can also use their own creativity to solve a problem.
Responsibilities.
Creating game ready assets from briefs or concept.
Reworking existing assets to improve appearance or performance.
Requirements
Excellent modelling, UV and texturing skills, using Maya and Zbrush.
Understanding of game art pipelines and real time rendering techniques.
A good eye for design.
Strong 2d art skills.
A working knowledge of version control software.
Additional
Scripting ability in Mel or Pymel.
Other skills in the 3d pipeline such as animation or rigging.
Experience of modern techniques such as PBR and real time subdivision displacement.
Location
The role will be based in our central Oxford office. We will not be taking on remote workers.
