  Would think there would be some sort of publishing rights that Nintendo still owns and would have to be run through them to make any revenue off of.

  I think gameboy color homebrew has been done before, Google it, you probably won't be legally able to sell games for it, but you can make them.

  anyway yea, you should give homebrew a shot. otherwise, rights. and i dont think nintendo is still giving rights to gbc games.

  You can make GBA games and release on 3DS through shop channel right? Still have to jump through the publishing hoops I think. Not too sure about how Nintendo treats indie devs.

  Yes you can but good luck getting the whole thing working in assembly is a pain in the ass and i would recommend a drag n' derp cart. if your going to do it.
