3ds max not saving viewport settings?
Ok I had to reinstall 3ds max 2015 student version (long story..)
Anyways, whenever I change the viewport settings to view a proper rendered texture, evertime I restart max it resets the settings..
Right now the settings are fine, but when I restart max theyre reset and my textures still look like garbage. :thumbdown::thumbdown:
My specs:
Windows 8.1
Intel i5 3.2ghz
8 gb ddr3
1TB hdd
EVGA gtx650ti
drivers are all up to date.

Also, you could try the Nitrous viewport driver. And use the "Realistic Materials with Maps" option.
What's the differences between Nitrous and Direct3d?
