No spline IK in Maya LT.

How should i proceed with this?
Im transitioning to maya... suddenly Spline Ik is not supported in LT lol.
Just LOL. Just. LOL. What a mockery.

Yes, the rigging options are meant to be limited to human IK. However, you could try to rig the pig with a "ribbon spine", if thats possible in LT

according to comparative anatomy the bones of all mammals are the same. A whale has the same skeleton as a human but the difference is the proportions. Notice in this image the whale has hip bones for no good reason.

For example this is a rig I made of a chicken:

I made this rig with Biped in 3dsmax. The wings are hands with elongated fingers. The proportions are all different but there's no difference between the bones, and their place in the skeleton.

So you should be able to rig your wolf using a human IK skeleton with adjusted proportions.
