I like the head and wing shapes on the Rhino Beetle one, but I also think the first concept looks dynamic all its own. Maybe you could find a way to merge the two? Like a longer, six-legged version of the first concept with both fur and carapace?

Just my two cents, I like the style you're going for regardless, and I really like the incorporation of similar shapes to both rider and mount.

Nice , the opening up is sweet, but the rotors do look sort of comically small

Obviously on a real bettle the shell opens up futher but that might knock the pilot off, You could have the abdomen beneath the shell drop down to give you more space

looks nice, although i prefer the cleaner version.
wear and tear is nice and stuff, but now some of the metalparts look rather like they are made from stone.

Hummmm, armor looks fine and metallic to me. What I'd wish to see was same type of detailing for the face. Eyelids, helmet pushing the skin etc.
This is probably my favorite entry so far. Looking forward to more updates!
