how to use stickers, numbers, logos in quixel suite

hey guys,
i'm wondering how i can use stickerts, numbers, strips or what with the quixel suite... i mean how can i load and place them in the right position on my mesh ?

a good sample is the quixel cover on the main site, how is the 04 the ornage strips and the no smooking logo placed ?

You have to know where on the UV map corresponds to where on the mesh.

Ok so what I do (and this might be bad but it worked fine) was to go to the corresponding material folder in DDO, then in Photoshop once you know where you are just create a new layer. It will appear in DDO in the right place. Name it correctly then paste the sticker/number/strip/whatever in to that layer. You will need to do each map (gloss, spec etc) by hand but it doesn't take too long.

Here's a gun I was making last night:

So on the body material I have my plastic material, then a layer on top with the stickers. It's the same on gloss and specular but they're a flat grey.

Edit: Oh another top tip is to create in Photoshop a layer on all of your maps right at the top and paste your UV layout in to it. Just hide/unhide it in photoshop when saving to 3DO so it doesn't show up.

Actually after you create the layer in Photoshop, ndo has a tool that will copy it to all other maps for you

its in the main menu, "Copy Layer to all maps"

also there is a "Copy Mask to all maps" if you edited a mask by hand as well
