Adventure Time Living Room WIP

Hey Everyone. So I decided to make some fan art based off adventure time. I fell in love with the set of the inside of the tree house, so I decided it was time to make it in 3D. This is one of my first full interior scenes, so I'm excited to pump it out.

It's pretty basic right now, but once I start texturing it'll start to shine. I'm open to critiques and suggestions!

Given how heavily stylized and organic most shapes are in this concept you'll probably get an expoentially better result sculpting out most of your props in Zbrush. Not only will it be fun, but you'll get incredibly detailed maps for your low poly. Regardless of what you choose though, your blockout is coming along quite nicely!

Thanks a lot! I'm going to make the normal maps for the wooden props in mud box. And the trees are going to be done in zbrush.

Any specific reason you're choosing to do some of the sculpting in mud box? Just curious

The main reason is because I'm a lot faster with Mudbox then zbrush. I often have issues maintaining the scale of props after exporting from zbrush to max, and I'm not 100% sure why.

I haven't started on the lighting yet. Should I do the lighting before I work on the textures?

I felt like trying to make something a little more realistic. I will tweek the walls and tree textures once I have some nice lighting going on.

yeeey, adventure time! love the show!

anyway, I agree with Butt, I dont think going for a realistic feel is doing you any good. f you do that its just a booring tree house, there is really nothing special with it.

one of the things that makes the house awesome is the great style and feel of the show.
