Mirror static mesh in udk?

Can an imported static mesh be mirrored or flipped in udk?I have a row of archs and columns in a room and I want to duplicate them and mirror them to the other side in udk.How do I do that?

You can just negative the draw scale of the axis you want to mirror.

I wanted to ask if say for example,I import a number of similar chairs I duplicated and exported to udk as against importing one static mesh and duplicating them around a level in the engine.Does it affect or cripple performance or is that wrong?

You'll be using less memory with using only one duplicated mesh. If they're all unique, they need unique memory space.
