  Totally depends on the project and what you're designing. Is it a prop or a full environment or a character?
  
  Some things are super quick like half a day or less. Other things can take forever. Designing the main character for Ryse took around 10 months on and off with myself and 2 other concept artists all contributing whereas some of the other characters were nailed in a day or 2.

  I'm making assets such as flower pot, lantern and mug for interior and exterior of stylized tavern. I'm doing it as a hobby, not professionaly.
