Substance import texture

I'm trying to do vertex type blending using substances in UDK. For some reason I can't seem to assign an image to the image input that I built into the substance. The input shows up, but nothing happens when I try to assign a texture to it.

Your image must be imported in UDK as a Substance Texture Input, not a standard Texture.
Use the Import button in the content browser and choose Substance Image input as the file type.

I'm not seeing substance image input anywhere.

Thanks for the help on this. I was trying to use UDKs built in texture painting to lerp between textures in a substance, but it's not going to work.
