Hey guys, I'm working on developing a channel on YouTube for something to stay busy. I have lost a really great job about six months ago and have yet to get back to work. I have managed to get some equipment together including a green screen and a decent camera so that I can start doing reviews and other types of shows. Looks like he's having fun time with some hard surface to me!
His environment modelling seems to be going well. Though the edge flow on one of the wood blocks at the back is worrying me.
Having watched the growth of several youtubers over several years (people who have gone from 10 views a week to 100,000 views a week) I can tell you that it absolutely doesn't matter what content you upload as long as you network.
There was this one big youtuber that got caught uploading stolen content, in fact 90% of his videos were filled with stolen content. He did not have a unique personality and in every video he would ask people to like the video, favorite the video, and subscribe to his channel. He did not make videos for any purpose other than to make money.
Well, because of networking, he was able to average around 300,000 views per video until he got caught stealing everything. He disappeared for a couple of months then came back and continued uploading stolen content. While knowing that he was stealing others' work, his ignorant fanbase continued to support him and so he quit his job and now lives off of his (technically stolen) youtube money.
It's fucking stupid how broken youtube is, then you have all of the other youtubers who do equally pathetic things to get views like Pewdiepie, CoD commentators, etc.

A camera and greenscreen are nice and all, but if you're a gaming channel, I want to see the game, not your face.
And your content needs to be edited a bunch. It's simply not interesting.

and the rest, over two thirds of the video, is a cutscene and you browsing through menus without any sound, even the cutscene and game are muted. You should cut out excess content like menu screens and loading and such as well.

You don't say a word. At least you have the game sounds on, yeah, but a card game is boring to watch, the interest is in what the player is thinking. Tell what your strategy is while you're playing. Explain possible future moves. If you're gonna have the game start up at the menu, make it worthwhile. Explain shortly what the game is about (since it's the first episode) as a post-edited voiceover. If you're playing a pre-made deck, explain shortly what it's based on, so we can think along while you play.
