Rope in zbrush

Odd question, but i want to wrap a rope around a character. I have the brush for it, but its hard to control as it sticks to everything near it. Im trying to have it wrap around several objects and knot up in some parts.

Is there an easier way to do this? Some setting i can change? maybe another rope brush thats easier to control around a mesh? Anything?

Why not just straight up model it? Doesn't sound too hard.

Google for "how to model ropes" came up with plenty of search result.

Also search for zbrush Robe brushes/subtools. A lot of people have created tools that allow you to create rope on the fly.

Yea I have the rope insert mesh tool. The problem is that I want to have the rope wrap around several objects, but it always seems to stick to anything that its on, and it doesn't allow me to freely move it around

Merge visible and run a dynamesh/remesh so that you get a single surface, then append it back as a subtool; the inserted rope (as a polygroup) can be extracted afterwards and the dynameshed base can be deleted.
With stroke:bend enabled, you can edit the curve afterwards to adjust the rope. Once the mesh has been accepted, it can also be edited with the move brush and other tools.

You can turn snap off and drag it off the surface.
