If you're not interested please disregard, if you are follow through and check out all of the imagery and details. What you see below is the full car pack. The colored models are completed right now and the grayed out ones are in production.

So, my concern being that you can't really use these branded cars without a license from the manufacturer. That basically means you cant release commercial product with them in there.

@PeterK - I hear you. Honestly when it comes to this specific thing I don't think it's a worry. I'd say it's about the same as a TV show using a Ford F-150 or a Chrysler in a scene. So long as you obfuscate the logo/emblems/markings/branding (like they do in TV shows) you're fine. They actually do this all of the time on a lot of branded products in reality TV shows, i.e. covering logos/labels/etc on all kinds of things from bottles to kitchen appliances. As a note, none of my cars have any branding, logos, emblems, or markings from the manufacturer. They aren't 100% reproductions either as I am not an engineer, only an artist. They have also been transformed in areas of the car body or texture so they are not 100% accurate.

*Interesting side note. In films and commercials staff have to remove, modify or improperly display some aspect of a US military uniform for it to be legally shown in a production. It's illegal otherwise.

Work in Progress of one of the High Performance Cars being completed today. This one is based on the Bugatti Veyron. I will however not be modeling some of the Veyron specific details. Going to make this one just appear to be an exotic high end car mixed with body lines, etc of other high end cars.

Completed the 7th vehicle for the mobile car pack. This one came in at 1,202 polygons with a 512x512 PSD texture.

Updated the webplayer to allow the player to drive around other AI that are made up of the vehicles in this pack. Kind of a unique way to see how they look from the non-player perspective.

NEW BONUS: Included with every perk $10 and above is the complete Modular City Pack. What good are a pack of vehicles without roads to drive them on? Here are a few images to show the pack and some of the technical details. This pack is already completed and ready for delivery. The pack will be delivered via digital download in Unity package format and FBX file formats. All associated textures are included.

IMO it's fine to show what you do, but 'pimping' it (advertising as in showing product and mentioning prices/website) is a no-go.

It's just common sense and respect I guess.
Or decency.

I suggest you advertise elsewhere and show progress and tell us what you did and how you approached it here.

@skullsplitter - All points taken. I saw the forum "Pimping and Previews" and assumed that previews were for showing off development work and pimping was actually pimping out something. That was just my take on it, assumming this was the right place for it. From here on out, I'll just show off the development process of modeling, etc.

UPDATED:

I've updated the Unity webplayer to show a full 360 rotation of the completed models thus far. You'll get a better idea of the detail and shading of the geometry in this scene. I've also made a few changes on the reflection map and some details on the earlier models. Halfway through the pack only 7 days in!

Vehicle #09 texturing/uvs/modeling completed. This is the asset rendered in the Unity Game Engine. The vehicle is loosely based around a Focus RS racing vehicle. This model came in at 875 polygons and a 512 x 512 texture map.

This is a demo of the modeling pass completed for the 10th vehicle in the mobile car pack. This model came in at 858 polygons for the LOD 0 (highest LOD). The vehicle is a reference to a Lamborghini Murcielago, but has been modeled to not match it's real world counterpart. The design is a mix of multiple exotic super cars and a bit of artistic license.

Car #10 completed and rendered in the Unity Game Engine. The final poly tally is 860 polygons and the asset uses a 512 x 512 PSD texture for the diffuse and reflection (in alpha channel).

This is the "Porsche 911" inspired vehicle. Came in for the final poly count at 930 polygons. Uses a 512 x 512 customizable PSD texture. I've also finally came up with a shader for Unity that will allow you to "paint" only the metal car body with the Unity color picker! Will show that off in the next demo build.

Sure, "great work", but wording your posts to make it seem like you're helping others is really just a joke and in the long run trying to get free handouts.

You're even going to great lengths to post "tutorial" videos. Great job!!

I've been doing the tutorials and stuff since 2007. I do them to give back to the community. I've been working minimum 8 hour days working on these cars, nothing is a handout. I'm creating a ton of assets for other developers to use. I'm not using these in any project of my own, they are purely for others to test, develop or use any way they wish.

why dont you make a game? you pretty much have the frame work to make one....make the car high poly and then sell the game...i mean you already have a test track..........

@Cglewis - I already have a solid racing game framework in Unity so maybe someday. Currently working on a kart racing game, so that's where my other energies are going as well.

^^^I think this is were people are having issue with man......i dont have an issue with the link....but put images of wires and texture sheets let up critque somthing....you pretty much saying hey im done now buy it....just trying to help out mate.

Classic American Vehicle (Car #15 based on 1976 Gran Torino)

This model came in at 894 polygons, and also uses a 512 x 512 hand painted texture. The reflection intensity and mask are contained in the alpha channel of the diffuse texture. This campaign blew away my expectations and now sits at 116% funded.
