I have just started the Diploma of Digital and Interactive Games here in Australia.
I am in a career switch at the moment and really have a limited background in gaming, however I am looking forward to pursuing the 3D Modelling and texturing which I have been doing as a self taught hobby for the past few years.
Hopefully I can contribute some lovely gaming/art works very soon!
Just a quick Hi to introduce myself to the forums i am starting my Evocca College Diploma of Digital and Interactive Games soon and they directed me to this page.
My Name is Paul and I've been a Gamer for many years, it is a passion as well as a hobby, and have always wanted to do something with it, i admire how games are breaking away from just being something kids played to becoming engrossing stories that captivate and involve you, in my opinion a lot of them are better then a lot of Hollywood films, The Last of Us anyone?
My favorite Gaming series of all time is the Metal Gear Solid series, i am amazed by the detail Hideo Kojima puts into everyone of those games and love the characters and story.
Besides that i am also a fan of the Uncharted Series, GTA, Splinter Cell, Battlefield 3, SWTOR, GW2, Borderlands 2, a soft spot for Duke Nukem Forever even though it wasn't the best game, the Saints Row series. Infamous, the Assassins Creed Series (even though i am starting to dislike having one every year) and many other games, i will play anything once, twice if i like it. I'm not a big RPG/MMO guys but i do play some.
Anyway looking forward to learning how to create this stuff and hopefully bring some of my own ideas to fruition.
Hello to all.
Been browsing this forum for a long time, so I decided to register finally. I'm a newb who is looking to learn, get good some advice, and where better than here
I started my 3D quest this year, mostly through tutorials online. First with Max, but then I went to Maya (it's a lil' easier for me). Now I'm trying to do something solo. I got many ideas, just not the knowledge to render them.
I've been playing games since I was a kid, but I always wanted to work in the game industry. It's still a longshot, seeing how many epic artist there are today, who started working a looong time before, but I'm trying to keeping myself somewhat optimistic.
Hello everyone! A short introduction. Worked as an ad-producer, went to art-school for two years, and now I'm studying game-graphics. I'm completely new to 3D, but really psyched about getting to work with it fluently soon.
I'm gonna do my best participating here often, it seems like a nice place!
Hello everyone, its nice to meet you all, i was told to come here and post a reply before my account was activated so here i am. If theres anything any one wants to know please don't hesitate to ask.
Hello polycount people! I discover polycount today in the school and it was very inspiring, I think is great the way people give feedback to other users, I mean constructive opinions , not complains and that kind of stuff. I'm here to learn and hopefully to help others in a not distant future.
Hi polycount users! I discover polycount today on my school and it was very inspiring, I love the way people give feedback to other users, in a constructive way. I'm here to learn and to help others
Hello I'm Baraborn. I'm a dwarf from the Northern Mountains, some call me AXE MAN or Hammer for short. I'll be posting mainly for feedback on paid and leisure projects alike mainly in 3d. Maybe some 2d concepts.

I'm doing an indie title for Sony at the moment. Interested in no-nonsense talk about all things pixels and keeping it real.
This is my first post here. Really looking forward to being part of the community- the work here is amazing!
