So i want to buy a PC for 3d modeling but my budget is $500 so i was thinking of buying a gaming pc then upgrade it. What do you guys think is a good gaming pc to start to?
In your case, I would consider building your own PC. I would say it's all about the motherboard. Last I set mine up with an AM3 processor socket and a good BUS setup ready for 2-3 year upgrades. Not too sure what's up now a days, but anything within a current range can keep you well for the next 4-5 years. check out "NCIX-tech tips" on you tube for some good pointers from Linus. and pricewatch.com for good values. Worth the research.
Well, if you're asking for brand and model it's kind of a general question to ask. Brands change often and models come and go. Like I said, you need to do some research. Lazerus has a pretty good link to start off with, but if your looking something you can upgrade through time look at what overall price range you're comfortable with throughout the time you are allotting yourself. Like I said, it's most about the motherboard. A good one can get you started pretty well with its internal video if you're willing to work with it until you can afford a good card. so in that case shoot for the high end you plan to achieve. If you're concerned about putting one together, I think there's plenty of online resources to help you get through it.

I would advise against that one. Typically when you see something like that it has poor primary parts that aren't listed. Motherboard, PSU, etc. These things are the backbone of your computer, and loss of any of them could cause damage to the other parts, but will set you back in getting a nice computer. Also consider that that price doesn't include an OS, so unless you're going with linux you'll have to pay for that as well.
My suggestion is to build the system yourself, and tailor it to your needs. 500 is a heck of a budget, but it can be done. I would suggest reddit.com/r/buildapc or /r/buildapcforme -- that last one you list what you want to do and what you want to spend, and people will suggest builds for you.
Don't cheap out on the power supply or the MOBO - get decent parts there and you can always upgrade the system later.

Socket 1150 is the Haswelll i.
Socket 1155 is the older i.

Wont fit your previously stated mb. You need a haswell i. Get at least 8gigs for the mutitasking we do.
If im UK based, could I purchase from here? I know obv it may be different power supply etc...
