Just saying Hi! as my account needs to be authorized for posting new topics first. I'm a 3D Animation student and have a question regarding Maya that I would like to post. Thanks!

Hello everybody. I joined polycount because I wanted to improve my 3d art. I am only in high school but thinking as if I am an adult. Hope to meet some great people on the forums.
My name is James. I'm an aspiring mod maker from New Zealand and hope it is appropriate to join the community when art isn't exactly my forte. My focus is scripting and terrain creation.

I wear many hats on the project, 3D modeling, Animation, character state programming, ui programming etc etc...we are looking for some talent to help with some more of the modeling aspects, feel free to PM me if you are interested in more information about the project. In the meantime, I'll be around here posting about our modeling techniques and workflows 8)
Well I suppose it's time for me to say Hello!! My name is Chris Sanders and I work as a UI designer and I do 3D modeling. Last year I put together a small team and begin work on our own fighting game called Ascension X. https://www.facebook.com/AscensionX2013 I think we are finally far enough to share it with the community. I'm also hear to gt advice and help to push it to the next level.
Hello everyone! I've just graduated with a First in Computer Animation (which involved programming and 3D modeling among other things). After studying different areas I've decided to pursue a career as an Environment Artist. Over the next year I will be working on my portfolio as I feel it has a long way to go in terms of quality.
From what I have seen already, this looks to be a fantastic community!
Hiya, aspiring 3D character/texture artist from South Carolina! The weather is great today! I look forward to seeing everyone's work and giving feedback. Hope I can be of help to the community.
My name is TJ, or Cmp in the gaming community. I'm an IT student in the state of Idaho. I recently started modeling, but I've already gotten a lot of enjoyment out of it. I have worked with Maya a little bit, but I find Blender to be a little more beginner-friendly. I use mostly Photoshop and GIMP for texturing.
I've admired the submissions that I've seen here for a while and I feel privileged to interact with such creative minds. I look forward to talking with a lot of you.
