I have no 3d on my portfolio....

I need to fix this as I'm finishing up a large job and would like some different gigs than 2d iPhone games.

First up- Proving i can do sexy...

Just poly modelling and is going to be hand painted. Maybe with a spec map?

I really should finish that effects pack.... And thought of a better thread title.

Also i'm planning on working on girlie and bringer her to portfolio level. She is already rigged, but i'll probably step back and polish her a bit.

I'm outta practice... wait was i ever in practice :S. I'm also posting faceted models as smoothing looks gross on something low poly (imo) it'll look far better when i get all the textures going.

Fighting with myself to keep her full clothed. Making near naked ladies for finished work isn't something i normally do...

Cheers bro, Not sure about the length of the face but you are probably right about the boobs.

Something else, i'll get back to the model now.

EDIT: dkk asked for a topology of the face. It still needs a cleanup/optimisation pass. The hair and decorations are also just mocked up.

I'm kinda keen to get this out of the rode and do some current Gen. But i really should make this as good as i possible can.

The 3D pice I feel I cant really crit yet cause its all kinda basic. but the paint over you did looks cool, hope u get all those details into the model.

Could you soften/average the normals and post a screenshot? It would be a lot easier to see the forms.

Thanks dude, I put more work into the concept. Also i changed up the model and it's currently sitting at about 3000k which i won't bother posting till i get it unwrapped.

So i was trying to work out what areas are preventing me from reaching any resemblance of realism with my rendering from imagination.

I totally failed, but i pointed out so many areas to myself that i need to work on. Seriously guys i need you to be super harsh here. Thanks!

The new model is SO much better in my opinion, shows how important a concept can be. Keeps the obvious goals in check. As you work on it, your vision of the piece will waiver without it. If I dont have a concept, I will quickly noodle something out and then go from there. Other than the wonky eyes, I think your character has a ton of potential. How do you like Mari?? I want to try more direct model painting with either polypaint in zbrush or 3D coat.

Mari is projection painting, so it works great for low poly models. I'm still getting used to the brush system.

And yeah man of course i remember, i was just being a dick with a rhetorical question.

About the lack of posts, i don't actually care, The way i see it if i'm not making stuff that gets people exited i'm not doing a good enough job, and drives me to do better.

Got an awesome paintover for the face at crimson daggers.

Here is the new face with fresh makeup.

I kinda wish i wasn't making something so generic now but i'll soldier on and make it awesome.

Hey, it is just a little picky thing, but I figured since I like how the model looks so far so much that I should tell you. =]

The eyes are pretty derpy, the pupils should be moved to match, like this.

You also could add some darker points for depth, like around the lips, the folds of the eyes.

I see you already got some paintovers, but I hope you won`t mind if I offer some suggestions myself :poly128: I`ve been painting a lot of faces/face textures lately, so here`s my take on it -

Some of this is personal preference, so don`t dwell on it too much. Also, sorry for crappy handwriting and spelling ^_____^`

I'm really digging this. I agree with a lot of the crits and paint-over, especially PxelSlayer's tips on color, but for some reason I think they lose a bit of character when compared to the original, although I can't quite put my finger on why. Maybe someone else can shed some light?

It`s the eyes. I went back to have a look at the original concept and her facial features are less child/doll like. I only followed the original shapes on the texture while doing my paintover, but I managed to enhance this and deviate even more from the intended look. So, my tip would be - slightly smaller and wider eyes, slightly smaller nose and lower eyebrows. :poly142:

Damn paintovers ahoy thanks man :O. not sure how much i was able to implement because of the colour blindness.

I need to paint the arm better but this is 95% of the way. Tomorrow I'll pose her properly and try and make a better than 6 am shitty paste into ps.

I'm really not too happy with the outcome, mostly because i'm out of practice and partly because i'm not too fond of my own concept lol.

Oh well it's a good start back into the world of 3d.
