Low Poly Knife - First finished project!

Hey all!

Just celebrating my first ever finished game asset! I have never gone through the entire workflow and am very happy with the results! On to the next project!

Working hard to create a portfolio, so critiques and comments welcome!

High and Low modeled in 3dsMax.
Normal mapped in xNormal
Normal map extras using nDo2 (wood texture and text)
AO map from 3dsMax
Spec map in Photoshop
Displayed using Marmoset Toolbag

    Looks good man, the only thing that stood out to me is that the wood grain in your normal is vertical and is horizontal in your diffuse and specular. The wood itself on the model looks pretty good (maybe de-saturate it a little and make it look weathered) but matching the normal, spec and diffuse up will probably boost it that little bit. Also don't be scared to colour your specular map :)

    Ha! Wow, didn't even notice that :-P . I'll definitely revisit that (and the spec map) before sending to an employer. Thanks for the feedback!
