Construct 2 vs Gamemaker: Studio

I would like to build up a more indie type portfolio and was looking to learn either Construct 2 or Gamemaker: Studio. Does anyone have any experience with either of these engines and/or preference?

I noticed 3dMotive has a great series with Gamemaker, and so I'm almost leaning towards it just because of those tutorials, but if one is better than the other one then that would be great to know.

I'm sure they're probably about the same and it's more of how good your art/design is, but I'd thought ask. :)
