Hello! My name is Layna Salazar. I currently attend Gnomon School of Visual Effects and going on my third year. As of this moment I'm taking Character for Games with "OneLungLewis" aka Jackson Robinson as well as Hard Surface Character Modeling with Josh Herman. I would absolutely love critiques throughout the process of the two characters I will be working on this term!

Originally I was going to do a concept that involved a tall, attractive, run of the mill sexy lady. Feeling hesitant, Jackson showed me a super rad concept. It's such a nice change of pace from the norm, and shes cute to boot!

Currently I think I've had a road block with her face. I think I'm going to work on it for awhile so it doesn't look so fat.

Her face looks like she's doing some kind of evil grin instead of the confident smile I suppose you're going after. Might be a good idea though to model the face expressionless at first to make sure you get it anatomically correct first. Also it gives you room for different expressions later.

I an easy way checking proportions, draw horizontal lines over the features on the concept (eye-level, nose etc) and compare if they match up with your model. I can't really put my finger on what's exactly wrong with your models face but spontaneously the cheeks are too defined, the concepts head seem to be a bit more square and she might need some more skull.
