Material not looking the same in UDK as in texture file

Hello.
I just started "learning" UDK,found some nice introduction videos on YouTube etc,just got to import my first made model into it,i do the importing of the model,and its fine,but,the material importing is giving me some weird results.


This is the material after importing on a preview page:

This is the material applied to surface model in UDK

As you can see,its just some random pixel stuff.
This is the texture file that i import,and which gets converted to that above:

I tried importing it as PNG first,the UDK would just freeze and throw out a dont send error,so i converted the PNG files as PSD's,and that is what i got.

Thanks in advance for explanation and clarification of this problem.
