I own one, love it. I would recommend if you are on a tight budget.
i've owned 2 wacom tablets and a cintiq - i feel the monoprice performs just as good.
From what I can see on reviews, the quality is somewhat hit and miss. Generally good, but occasionally a bad one gets out. I don't own one, but that's the impression I get, which is fairly typical of budget hardware of any kind.
have anyone tried the different versions of the Monoprice tablets? i am mainly wondering about the shortcut, smaller version compared to the bigger version without buttons for shortcuts....
i have now run into an issue: the tablet itself is 80 dollars, which is awesome, as that is about 60 dollars less than the Wacom. but the shipment is 60 dollars..... anyone got any ideas ?:S
I had some problems with mine on Windows7 before SP1, but after the update its been great. I got mine off Amazon for $50 which was about 1/6 the price of a similarly sized Intuos tablet, not sure if they ship to your location though.

Yep I had the same issue. So in the end I had to go with a Bamboo Capture Shipping to Asia was exhuberantly expensive or they didn't ship at all, I forget. At least the Capture has that wireless connector dock I suppose. Silver linings.
How big can you get tablets? I have an A5 tablet that I can use fine on a 7in netbook, and quite enjoyed using, but using it on my 22in monitor, despite how much I try, makes me want to throw up, I can't handle the difference in size. The 12x9in tablet is about 15in, which would be better, but having something almost the exact same size would be optimal.
hmmm James, the only 22in i've seen is Wacom, for about 2-3 K dollars.... but i think the biggest of Monoprice would be better... tho i have a feeling you'd be better off going with something that shows on the tablet, what you are working on, so you dont have to look at the screen of your monitor, but instead look at the screen of your tablet..... just my 2 cents xD
i decided to go with a Wacom Bamboo from amazon, as this would be 20 $ cheaper than the monoprice + shipping, and i avoided the battery pen.... i'll keep you posted if it's good for Zbrush / Photoshop, and my workflow will most likely spike from now on, so expect to see more stuff from me soon-ish
I don't think that battery in pen really maters unless you have something like baby hand :poly142:.Did you check in local computer stores for tablets?It would been better to do so before buying anything off the internet.
