Barrel Merchant Cart Asset

hey guys, so it's been quite sometime since I last posted something on this site, but I decided to work on a Merchant Cart based on a concept I found. This is Currently What I have after modelling. I decided to change couple minor things from the concept, but lend me your thoughts and advice, especially for props around it, and maybe some texturing ideas!

I'm thinking to have a puddle of booze that is on the floor to show the keg is leaking.

That's a lot of polies for simple shapes such as these. In particular the taps, pots and wheel-axes could be reduced. I'd add one extra loop in the middle of the barrels.

Snader- Thanks, I was meaning to reduce the poly's but I completely forgot. Thanks for the reminder though, i'll reduce on the pots especially.

hey guys, so I have a small question. I'm trying to tackle the tree, but I'm not sure how to approach to unwrapping it and texturing it using a tilable texture. I don't want to give it a unique unwrap. Does anyone have any advice they could give?

soooo tiny update, started doing some texturing, and I also managed to clean up and get rid of some of the unused poly's. Here's what I have so far!
I'm still working on the diffuse at the moment, so I haven't had a chance to attack the Spec, normals, or Opacity map!
here we go!

any advice would be awesome

Great start to texturing - would look awesome if you could get some SSS on the cloth, getting the light to shine through it.

Thanks man! What do you mean by SSS though? Lol sorry I'm confused by the term.

cloth is translucent, it lets you see light through the other side. I believe that's what n1neh meant.

dragan01: SSS refers to sub-surface scattering, which is pretty much a fancy way of saying translucency like Zac said.

Looking pretty good so far, although as someone else mentioned, if you added an edge loop through the center of each of the barrels and then bulged it out a tiny bit, it might help their silhouette a little.

Yeah SSS is sub-surface scattering - read up on it - will make that cloth look beautiful!
