I haven't had any classes in animation or modeling, and have only learned off of youtube. Anyone have any good 3ds Max tips for making character models?
Thats a VERY general question,
do you want to model human or creatures, or animals.
Whichever kind it is there really is not any tips you can give as long as you know how to use the 3d package of your choice, have a broad understanding of the human body and its proportions, and have the creativity to go along with it.
From my experience the best character modelers I know are the ones who can draw characters/humans very decently.
Just spend enough time looking.
