Started this guy as a speed sculpt from dyna-mesh at work during lunch. Decided to skip all the high-poly nonsense and just retopo the rough sculpt and do a low-poly diffuse only character. UV's and textures coming soon.

you should bake an ao from the rough sculpt, would make for a nice base to start on even if its rough

This reminds me of early draconian designs from D&D, baaz, kapak, sivak & aurak etc. Cool man, love that beak and those little wings

Here's a tiny update on this, been struggling to get the right colours going. It is still all brown, need to put some saturation in. Any thoughts on the colour scheme?

wolver: I tried baking AO but the highpoly stuff was so rough it just ended up a jumbled mess
EggPlantNinja: Thanks, I was thinking he would be more bird-like in his actions, so he'd be constantly turning his head to look straight kinda thing.
Hazardous: Thanks, thoss draconian designs are really cool. Tried bringing some of the bronzey colours some of them have into this char.

I think the pale skin you had before was better in terms of contrast.

Texelion: ye i agree, I played with the colours some more and i think this looks better. Went for a pale green colour.
