I'm working on this guy at the moment he is a blacksmithwith a twist. AS a creature he has evolved over time to actually hav an internal forge which he can use to heat metals. Heat is ejected from the pores on his back. Still very much WIP and i want to push my abilities on this guy so suggestions and input would be great. Thanks

ps. and yes he will be gettting a big hammer

Cool concept/idea. Here's a few notes on what you've got so far.

Really like that back vents and the skin around there, i think a bit more of this treatment in other places would look nice too.

haha trying to school me on anatomy Giles, wait till i get my hands on you lol.
Thanks for the crits though, the straps are a mess as you rightly pointed out so i need to work on them. i'll tone down the cloth a bit too. his arms look ok to me, i'll play around with the length and see what happens!
good spot on the delts silhouette, i'll fix that.

I have;nt detailed his skin or really anything yet, so alot to go on there. I'm not happy with the clasp/latch thing on the back apron strap either need to redesign that.

Really wnat to push this guy so i can finally start putting a portfolio together. So many little things wrong with him though its annoying!

ok so i've have reworked his hands completely. Need to work on his face and head mostly now, and then the body should be close to finished. going oto move on and build his main hammer know so i have all the parts assembled. Crits and comments very welcome thanks

Giles was absolutely spot on with his anatomy crits. you NEED to revisit the shoulders and arms, they're holding back what could be an awesome piece.

Yeah something feels a bit off, the bigger shapes of the hands, arms and shoulders. Maybe just go down a couple of subdivs and mess around and try stuff.

the other thing i'd suggest is looking at elephant legs and the muscles they have. particularly in the foot/below the knee.

Finally got around to finishing this guy over Christmas. Great bit of knowledge gleaned from working on him. Ton of things i'd like to change fix etc. But i'll take what i've learned and move on to something new.
