Hi Polycount,

I'm kind of a new member to this forum and actually also to 3D. I started studying Digital Arts & Entertainment here in Belgium in September 2011.. 3D really caught my interest, since then I decided to become better & focus on 3D. Don't expect too much of it since I only started recently.
Please don't be afraid of giving critics, I really need to become better

Let's start off with my first assignment I ever made in 3D.
Only made with primitives: a Harrier.

Love the car! somehow the whole scenery and stuff reminded me a lot of the movie "Redline".

Tried rendering a photorealistic studio render, seems like I failed. Still need a lot of practice.

Started speedmodeling today, will try to post as many models as I can.

Will be adding my concept art/artwork to this sketchbook as well from now one, artwork made for school for the course 'pre production'.

Final exam first semester was to design & make a submarine to clean the surface of the ocean. (failed for this one)

Freework I made

This assignment was to create a cover for an upcoming zombie game, the location given was a shopping mall. (my best work until now in my opinion)

Final exam assignment was to design an action scene & a hobo for a hobo race, hobo & vehicle were both designed & made by me.

Been learning some Zbrush over the last 2 weeks. Working on a side project at the moment.

Hello, donkeh! I like your work so far, the Neil Patrick Harris bust was particularly neat! This latest bust looks good from the side, but I think his neck is a bit too thin. He has a double chin, but the weight doesn't seem to translate down into his neck. Or is he meant to be elderly? If he is, you might want to have the neck folds fall vertically rather than as a double chin. Otherwise, I think you nailed his cheeks and jowls, and I'm curious to see what else you'll be doing with him!

It was my intention to sculpt some kind of an elderly man, yes. Was a sculpt without any reference, so completely sculpted from scratch. Will look into some reference and change the neck & double chin. Didn't really spent much time on the neck & chest. Thanks for the feedback!

Haven't been working on much lately, took part in a GAMEJAM working on a game with a friend. Some things I started and still need finishing (if I ever find the time and enthousiasm) :

Cartoony character (school assignment), kind of failed imo. Needs tweaking. Next stop RIGGING:

PS: If anyone would be so kind to help me with some tips or tutorials for better sculpting techniques, it would be much appreciated, cause at this moment I find myself blocked in a way by my own Sculpting skills... A small introduction to shaders and lightning setup to make my sculpt presentation better would also be appreciated
