Best place for American Army clothing and gear reference?

Does anyone have suggestions where I can find good reference of American army clothing and gear reference. I'm looking for reference to that was used to outfit the american army in Battle L.A. for example.

Battle L.A. was Marines. But the clothing and gear should be REALLY easy to come by on the net. What are you looking for exactly. They carry many different things depending on the role.

Also, look around for army-navy surplus stores. It might be outdated stuff, but being able to see how it all works in person is a pretty cool experience.

I don't know how many US military surplus stores there are in Canada, but VC is right across the way from Seattle.

Military morons, no super highres refs but you can get a hell lot of names for clothing, equip etc.

I'm looking for a site that shows infantry fatigues and gear by country ideally. I've got what I need from battle la but like you pointed out I didn't even know it was the marines so it would be very usefull if I could find ref by country and what part of the military they belontoll. All current day ref too like mw3.

That will help in the future as I'll be needing some gun reference as well.

http://www.militaryphotos.net/ can be helpful. You might be able to make a request in the forums for someone to take clear (and perhaps isolated) photos of their gear, but if not at least there's a hell of a lot of images to go through. You should start to recognize what is standard kit after a while.
