Darksiders II Weapon WIP

I realise you know the contest is over and you still want to give it a try... jeezus.
I'm not a fan of the shaft (heh) getting bigger (heh heh) toward the top, feels like it's weak towards the bottom, the plain spike and the meat-tenderizer bumps on the hammer front are a bit boring, otherwise looking forward to textures!

My main concern is if you're going by the contest's rules, you might follow them all the way to fix yourself a specific goal.

Right now, we don't really know what style you're going for (probably MAKERS by the look of it). And the proportions look very off based on the template they were giving us. And right now it's kind of and Hammer+Axe, maybe you'll want to stick to one type and go crazy on it

This concept would only pass as a weapon, I'm not sure if you've even played Darksiders but that weapon doesn't look like it would fit any of the themes. With that said the weapon is much too blocky and just looks like a bunch of random geometry slapped together.

So after I was done with the base model I brought it into ZBrush and here is my final product. It could use tweaking obviously but I have to move on to other projects. Let me know what you guys think. Thanks for all your comments.
