3D Isometric lighting & rendering for social games

Hi,

This is my first post so please be kind. In Maya, I want to create the look of Cityville where the lighting seems to have no source and the buildings are all rendered with the same bright lighting. Does anyone know the lighting and rendering method used? I was thinking of global illumination and occlusion for rendering. Any other suggestions?
