Bodypaint - Seam Removal.

Hey guys,

I am facing this wierd issue in bodypaint.I have imported my asset into bodypaint 3dr3 in obj format.I wanted to remove seams from my asset, so i used clone tool in bodypaint to paint over my seams.

The trouble i am facing is my clone tool in bodypaint doesn't seam to actually paint over my texture seams.Which is the whole point of my exercise.

I am a new user to Bodypaint and i am attaching a screengrab.
Can someone please help me with this??

Also, earlier i have used maya 3d paint tool to remove my seam but it didn't seems to worked like a charm. There was a little noticeable seam even after cloning the area. Can anyone tell me, how can i be more effective with maya 3d paint tool??

Thank-You.

Well in the normal paint mode it really doesn't paint over the seam, rather right up to the edge of it. Since the brush is kind of low rez when you paint with projection turned off it can be kind of hard to get it super clean seam.

It's better to just grab a sample of the texture, make a new layer then paste that sample over the seam in projection mode. Then you can turn off the projection and use a soft brush erase out the edges.

Yeah, without the projection, you're only painting along your uv's, like in photoshop. There's also a padding setting somewhere in the preferences that you might want to push up.
