Hello everyone! Long time viewer first time poster to polycount. I really like the critiques I see people make and thought I would contribute a little more here.

I finished on the blockout a about 3 days ago and started working on my high poly tonight. Any recommendations or constructive criticism would be greatly appreciated.

My initial critique would be to soften up those edges on the high poly, they won't bake well to a normal map. More bevels!

I have been working on this slowly because of more pressing assets that need to be finished. Still looking for more crits if anyone is willing. In the future I am going to be adding an undercarriage so the back end doesnt look so high. Also may lower the cab a bit, though this height is based off image ref.

i'd keep the ride hieght like this, make a large under carriage for it and it'll look sweet. A massive under carriage will really bring out the weight of this truck, can't wait to see it done. I'd add an edge or two to the tire rim though, give it a bit more depth and get them bulging a bit more.

Going to be crushing cars with it?

@Praetor - Yes, currently everything is physically modeled. I just have a simple light rig and AO on the model right now.

@Impala - I agree, i think that the undercarraige is what is going to make or break the whole "Massive vehicle" appeal to this. Im gonna check out the tires when i get off work tonight and see what i can do. Ill try and update this again soon!

the model is coming along well but if you're planning on baking this thing down then you simply must start softening up the edges otherwise they'll be nonexistent on the bake. in your viewport, see how far out you can zoom without aliasing; you should be able to keep nice smooth edges for a fair distance.

Wow everyone, sorry I did not update here. I have been working on multiple projects and this vehicle was deemed lowest priority so I finally got to work on it after finishing my other work. Please leave crits!

Razgriz and Racer, i took your advice and you were absolutely right and the normals came out better because of it. I should be able to put up some diffuse and specular soon! Right now its on 2 Mat IDs in unreal. 1 2048x2048 and 1 1024x1024. The interior is separate from the exterior so I can lower it to 1024 and 512 is necessary.
