haiddasalami (I just now realized what your name says as I tried to type it) here in Ottawa, the 'pro' photo place charges about $6 for colour and $6.50 for black and white film. B&W film is super easy to develop at home though. I started doing it in my bathroom and the only tricky bit it getting it totally dark while putting the film on the reel and for that I just wait till night time and turn off all the light in my apt. Then I just scan the negatives after that. Developing prints in my bathroom would not work so well.
those prices are for next day 35mm. same day was about $1 more and 120 film was about $1 more as well.
