That had the guy that interviewed me at Frozen Codebase. He was hilarious, and awesome. Actually everyone there was awesome, but he stood out. TRUE fan of roller derby's.

Rather than create a new thread to ask a question that is probably going to be answered within the first post. I'll post this here. I think it falls in the category of awesomeness anyway.
I got an feed for the latest 3Dworld mag and in the email it had this thumbnail image. Which is from an unknown earlier 3DW issue (else i would just go and buy it). I've had a look through most of the 3DW site. but cant find it.
Anyway. Which artist is this? links please if you have them
Thanks for that dreamer... Quite suprised I'm not familiar with his work. Will have to frequent CGHub more.
Thats a friggin awesome sci fi chav! The boots must be for extra speed when being chased for shoplifting.
EDIT: lol..just read the caption
"He's a future Chav complete with mechanical runners, ideal for getting away from trouble even if your fitness is compromised by smoking 40 a day and guzzling large amounts of strong beer."
sadly it just a bench mark how fast pc product can handle heaviest graphic
I know it's just a benchmark, but it's not completely "out there" to expect those kind of visuals to be the staple 5 years later :P
On PC they kind of are, but not so much on console, especially proper dynamic shadows
Especially one without buttons/keys. Adding a keyboard to these for shortcuts, is pretty cumbersome, and the one button won't cut it for functionality while working. I REALLY wanna believe there will be a tablet like this for digital artists soon.
Insanely Twisted Shadow Planet looks so fucking awesome it boggles my mind. I'm all up for a steam release as well for that one!
I actually interviewed with that studio (FXVille) a few weeks ago - they're a small studio in Seattle. Doing an art test for them right now I was able to see a lot of the Shadow Planet stuff and it's most definitely gorgeous in HD ;D

I like how the graphics in the first Rayman game haven't really aged a single bit:

"strong beer" should be "cheap cider"
Glad you like Qev - he's also sneaked his way into Expose 9, among other places.
I'll pass on your kind words to Etienne, and (everyone included) do say hi on Facebook if you're passing...
Cheers!
Will be watching.

Loving the Dimmu Borgir sountrack though.
Remember how everyone thought all games would pretty much look like this 3 years ago or so?
Me too.
