Hey all,

Been plugging away at this for a while but have been reluctant to post it as I keep finding things to improve. Anywho here it is so far, the gas pump models the only one im considering 'finished' at this point

I'm also struggling with the scale a bit, most of the ref pictures I have are close up details so its hard to know if the scale is quite right

That gas pump is bad ass. The scene is really cramped, but I take it that is more or less a block out. It looks to me that the gas pump is a little big and the door to the station is way too small. I can't see how that gas pump is more then 7 feet tall and doors just about 6 feet. You also might want to get that pump sized right to fit under the overhang since most pumps are under some sort of covering.

Replace the default material on the ground, as the bounce lighting influence on the colour of your gas station can be rather big.

It might be a tad too bigh but those older pumps seemed massive! I don't know I could be wrong.

I'll echo the statements that the Gas pump is a badass asset and recommend altering your focal shot to be less of an angle on the building. Most old building had two pumps out front so make your building able to support both pumps at the end of its awning. Also, its minor detail but don't mix a shell pump with a Texico label (on the square container.)

I'm calling this model done although im not 100% happy with it, as suggested its now a Shell branded one to match the gas pump

ahaha thats awesome, no worries man. I made an old style gas pump like last year. Not the same as yours a bit eariler but yeah!

Are you expanding the scene or just having everything there?

I'm planning on expanding the scene a bit, having tree's surrounding it with old fences and a turn off from the main road - I'm also hoping to get to grips with world machine but thats miles away at this point

Just a quick update, I fixed the planks on the shed they now read like sloped planks unlike before, spaced everything out to give me more room and correct the scale, removed the standard material on the ground and started the large garage doors - i also started the corrugated shed thingy but im not too happy with it...

This is looking really good so far. Really good work on your diff and spec, they look very nice. The only crit I have is that the doors look very clean compared to the walls.

Thanks, the doors just have the base occlusion and normals applied will make sure they match the walls
