Hey I know this isn't game art but I decided to just ask.

I'm looking for a good video converter. I have tried a bunch and none of them are just simple and do what they say they are going to.

In theory I want to convert .mkv to .wmv so I can play it on my xbox.

Anyone?

Oh! I was under the same situation.
What you want to get is PS3 Media server.

Despite the name, you are able to stream pretty much all media that your PC can play directly to your xbox. And you don't have to convert it, as long as your PC can play it then you can stream it to your xbox(including mkv with subtitles).

I've been using this for a while to stream movies to my xbox on the bigscreen.

How do you get this thing to work for xbox? I added the shared folder I want but I don't know how to connect to my xbox.

I am using tVersity for my xbox:

works even with grabbed flv (youtube,...), h264, xvid, divx,... files. No need for advanced setups worked for me out of the box. The official microsoft media player solution is a joke as it plays only certain very specific WMV files, nothing else.
