While this entry is on-topic i think that it's the most visually unappealing out of the 7.
Other than that congrats to all the winners!
Still kinda disappointed that the one with the ice and flowers didn't even get a look in, but it's all good stuff.

Yeah...congrats to the guy and all, but I agree. It looks a bit barren. And I can't spot half of the textures on the sheet used in the entry.
P.S. I ain't too crazy about places either but I don't think it matters much. Everyone's done a great job.
I would say that usually Korea wins (maybe that's why they were out of the contest :P)

Hmmmmm, I wonder if people are going to actually get anything. I know many people are still waiting on Unearthly 1 prizes and Dominance War 4 prizes.
None of the contests offer anything I personally can use, it's all for fun.

Agreed; unfortunately these are only some of the issues with the competitions being run by FredH. There was a thread about this on pc not too long ago, by a guy who was still waiting on DW1 or 2 prizes. At least people are starting to talk about it, instead of bleeting 'Thanks FredH cause these comps would not exist without him!!1!!' Of course they would, they would just be called something different. And would run on time, and the winners would actually receive their prizes. And the results wouldnt take 11 months to come out.
Wouldn't agree there, Challenges shouldnt have prizes, but its nice for the big ones to have nice prizes...
Yeah, there are some issues with deadlines etc.
I agree its not fun waiting over and over again.
But if other contests "of course would exist" there would be some already wouldn't they
Since they don't exist something suggests that its not that easy to organize one and keep it happening again and again
Blizzard did one a while ago and promised to make it yearly event and to improve it year after year... Only one was held. And I don't think its because Blizz had financial issues :P
"Scene from a Movie" was a great one but only 1 was held...
Only GA challenges keep going right now. I don't think its because Fred got rid of all the other better future organizers
There are other smaller and good ones of course, but I didn't see any of the same scale.
