Fletch, the London underground is really simple, I've only been over a few times with long time in-between, and I have never gotten the slightest bit lost, no matter how much I've drunk..
It's pretty much been designed with lager louting huns such as ourselves in mind :P
Hehe, advantage of living 'close' to London, no need to book anything. Just get on the train, then onto the subway and get lost a bit, before getting off the right station.
Btw, how are people going to find each another? I guess some knows others, but do we need little tag?
Bahh, both the joystick and this trip is out, as I reluctantly feared, I got a letter yesterday from the transport authority about how they want to check my car so its safe to drive and all that. So the next 1.5 month's salary is going to be spent saving for a visit to the mechanic. I really thought I wouldn't get it for a couple of months though.
Oh well, that's what you get for "saving money" on a car.. haha
Well, hopefully I'll have some good news to report at the meet, since I've applied for a QA gig at Splash Damage.
Do we have a rough head count? And, more importantly, is Nando's at London Bridge going to be a big enough venue? Seems like we've got a pretty significant number of us coming this time.
I will be there 100% and expect you to have the whole chicken too ^^
Cheers, bud! And I have no intentions of reliving my former shame at cowering in fear before a mere chicken - I shall be triumphant! Though I do distinctly remember a certain gauntlet being picked up regarding you eating a whole cow this time. Not sure if you'll be able to defend your honor, unless you eat several whole chickens.....
By my calculations, we've got around 12 or so at the moment. Not that it really matters, since Nando's don't 'do' reservations, as we learned last time...

omg lol
It has been known for me to eat one and a half chickens many years ago but apparently (according to my GF) that sort of behaviour is not a sexy as one would think...Who would have thought?
12 peeps! i really hope that we can find a big enough table...
I think I might be able to make this one. I'll just drive from Leicester and park at Stanmore. It's only like £3.20 for the whole day parking there. What time do you reckon The Event will be happening?
Definitely going to need two tables. One for everyone to crowd around, and one for all Andy's chickens. ZING!
So roughly 13 so far, maybe more. Lee's been conspicuous by his absence - I reckon he's sulking that we didn't arrange the meeting to coincide with his birthday.
I reckon we should meet up sometime around 6pm, outside the underground station entrance on Tooley Street. It's easily accessible from the main concourse and the overground platforms, and is across the street from the London Dungeon to serve as a landmark for the out-of-towners.
Hopefully somebody will be rocking the polycount colors, or have a sign - Ian, we're looking at you...
Hm, guess I should find my only green t-shirt, the closest thing to the colors I can get. People will end up thinking that some kind of Greenpeace rally is starting soon.

Fair enough. The area around Borough Market is pretty cool, and very close to London Bridge.

So the date is the 21th of August in Nandos, did we decide on which, Covent Garden or London Bridge?

Sure thing, if you are willing to sponsor the flight there, then I'm game.
