Surely you are not suggesting that we all meet at a "WB"?
oh dear...
The only good reason I can think of to meet in a Wetherspoon's pub is the lack of deafening pop music - at least we'd be able to actually hear what the person next to us was saying....
At the risk of sounding shockingly predictable, my vote goes to Nando's again.
Depends on your definition of 'wondrous' I suppose - 6' 8" drag queens that look like Dennis Rodman could inspire wonder in some visitors to our fine city, I guess....
Not so much these days - the Met launched a major crackdown on the street dealers and prostitutes a while back, so now it's only moderately sleazy. To be honest, some parts of Soho are far worse for solicitation.
Speaking of Carnaby Street, there's a place a short walk from there called Bodean's that serve the most incredible steaks, sandwiches etc. that might be good for the next meet up.
bodeans is all about the meat I dont think they do steaks though
They do if you order from the table menu - only 10oz, but they're some of the best steaks I've ever had in the whole city apart from Gaucho's, but they're about a third of the price and it's not as pretentious.

Checkin' in to see if you guys are still making plans to meet up? Would be cool to meet up with people in or trying to break into the Games industry! So definately count me in, but if you can try and make sure there's something veggy on the menu plz!
Well. Don't make it to late. I'm only here for a short while. I wanna get in on the action and be all "Yo polycounter! SUP!?, What ya think about those blender-guys? " and talk polygons and stuff.

Don't be daft, Mike! We should definitely plan another one, since so many people missed out on the last one.
Would late July / early August be too soon?
Heh, haven't heard that in a while - you a Jock, Mike?

Haha, for sure - where else can you get triple-x hot sauce, sit for almost three hours and get the meat sweats for twelve quid?
We should design Andy a 'Nando's Decimation Master' tee-shirt....
metalliandy what on earth is a 'WB'
LOL
You going to have the whole chicken next time? :P
@r_flech_r
<hushed tones>Wine Bar</hushed tones>
:P
Damn straight. The shame of my cowardice last time has dishonored my family.
I doubt such establishments even exist in such a reputable city as London.
What would The Queen think? :O
Sir, your words are tantamount to Treason. Im sure the Yeoman of the Guard will be round post-haste!
@Dan,
Does Camden market still look like that?
^^

I only figured yates because the back has plenty of seating is central and the atmosphere is ok.
I prefer parts of islington for drinking but obviously its not so central.
Angel is pretty straightforward to get to though.
Camden is a bit awful these days.
Meat is murder, tasty tasty murder
oh cool I didnt know that my standard order there is ribs and chicken wings will try it next time I go.
damnit Im hungry now..
Justin
i know, i know...always with the bloomin Nandos
:P
Well, I say you demonstrate your gastronomic prowess by eating a whole cow at Bodean's next time - a mere chicken poses no challenge!
/gauntlet down
I am not afraid...bring forth the eats.
and while i'm not a huge fan of chicken (though nandos was pretty tasty), if there's beef on the menu, just point me at the cow and gimme a fork.
they do ? I suppose a corn on the cob and coleslaw would be a veggie meal..
don't want to be indecisive like last time =[
Maybe we should make a regular date for London meets...like the last week of every 3rd month or something?
so we can like, get a hotel room, and LOTS of booze
I can imagine it now...10 guys to every guy...
Sausagefest ftw? :P
So maybe the first week in Sept. then?
