This looks awesome, and it has the same director as Hot Fuzz and Shaun of the Dead, so this movie should be pretty epic.

It's looks like Kick Ass, except made of completely unfunny fail instead of pure awesome.

I whole heartedly agree - I feel this movie WILL actually be funny and that the cheesy style will work for it. I love what they've done with it so far.

Well, the movie is pretty faithful to the comics.
so blame the source material if the movie seems too 'hip or kitschy'.

I think there's just hype around this feature because of Shaun and Hot Fuzz being great, but if I had seen this trailer without the 'from the makers of' at the end, I would never in a million years have guessed who made it. Probably would have guessed the makers of 'Date Movie' made it

honestly half of my enthusiasm stems from chris evans stealing the entire trailer with his one line. (kind of like how RDJ did at the end of the edward norton hulk flick)
I'm still holding out for a Spaced feature length film, but I think Pegg and Frost are too famous for it, now. Which is a shame - I preferred them both when they were less everywhere, with a smaller cult following.
Same with Kevin Smith, too :P

i like the direction this movie is going, i have enjoyed every movie michael cera was in so far, and especially his role in arrested development.
and mary elizabeth winstead is hot - i usually find any movie enjoyable as long as there is a hot girl in it.

my girlfriend and i watched it together this weekend, totally thought it was gonna be a lame spoof movie, nothing else was on. and out of nowhere all kinds of awesome assaulted us.
but this looks like it could be cool too.
on a more serious note though, watch anything you want right now, because The Expendibles will curb your need to watch any other movie again ever ever ever.

Also, I don't get all the comparisons between this and kickass or no more heros. Scott Pilgrim is visually stylish like them, but that's it. And it's not even the same style...
Feels like people just watch for two seconds, see interesting visual style and then announce that it is just like whatever the other most recent movie with an interesting visual style was. :P

This movie is bad. No not bad. Utterly insufferable. We hold this truth to be self evident and as such do not need to elaborate or give any kind of adequate explanation.
Not sure what they were expecting it tbh, you show a trailer that's half gamer/action/fighting on the same weekend expendables is out so fans of those things will go to watch that, and then the other half seems to be all romantic-y and there's always one of those crappy love movies coming out so I'm sure people went to see one of those instead.
I haven't seen this movie but I'll fight anyone that doesn't like Kick ass. Same for American Pie which was hilarious. Well not real fight but like on call of duty or something. TRY ME.
