Here's my concept for the demoman. I figure if he lost his original adoptive parents to the loch ness monster... they must have some ties to boating or whatever... so I'm doing an aquatic/boating/pirate-esque theme for him.

Here's the WIP for his primary weapon. More to come.

Yeah the wheels make it look almost like a full sized cannon until you see the trigger. I'd say at least make them smaller. Looking pretty good though!

Personally I thing the whole thing is too roundish, not just the canon itself but the overall, it makes it look overly cartoony. maybe add more straight like part to it. Also remove that ugly turbosmooth or meshsmooth.

Mico is right, however if you are going for the piraty theme i suggest make it shoot pirate granades similar to those.

Alright... the people have spoken. I'll see what I can do. Kind of like the wheels myself, but I'll see what I can compromise. I think I know what you mean by the "roundish" comment. Maybe altering the wheels would elongate it a little.

Looks ok but doesn't need the wheels, they just make it look plain wierd. Definitely change the pipes to the piratey nades buck suggested as well!

Yeah I also say lose the wheels. He can hold up the gun by himself.

Other suggestions: You should make the tape go at a slight angle to make it look less perfect. Also, you should flip the model so all the interesting stuff is on the side that the player will see.

I liked the wheels, as it made it looks more "homemade".
I they probably don't fit the game too much, but perhaps you could have the pin the wheels are attatched to still there but the whels have been blown/broken off to get less in the way?

Also I currently don't think it fits the TF2 theme, but that's probably just because it's too light, clean and lacking in team colors. I realize you will probably fix this with more interesting textures later though.

Screw "Jackeble" without the wheels its looks more like a Weapon.

But ... TF2 is crazy ... why not going crazy.^^

It would be easier to say which one is bedder if it would be seen in First Person or in the hand of a Model.

make him hold the thing under where the main part of the cannon is,
or if you re-add the wheels,make his other hand hold the wheel.

I think if the back part of the cannon had a hole in it the Demoman's reloading animation could work right.
