After 3 years of working in the 3D industry in marketing and design its about time I got into the games industry! 
So Ive got a job with an iphone games company http://www.neonplay.com . Theyre setting up near where I live and I fitted the role of 3D artist so Im in, just gave in my notice at my current job last week and I start at the new place in a month, its a wierd feeling to move on but Im really excited.
Im working with some talented people who have been around for a while working for big game industry names and powerful clients and on many award winning online browser games. Im pretty confident that this will be a great experience.
Just wanted to show my appreciation to polycount, you rock and I will proudly wear my polycount shirt to work!

Serp I have a class mate from university who used to work with one of the guys setting up this company and he recommended me to them. At first they said they might use me for freelance and got me to do an art test, but they liked the art test so much they decided to have an informal interview at a local pub and they offered me the job

Moosey_G Id like to play my games too but the company has only just officially begun development so nothings released yet but Ive seen some pretty cool stuff already

Nelis, Ive been applying for game industry jobs for about a year or 2 now and didnt hear back from most companies, a few told me I had potential but wasnt right for the position as it was fairly senior and eventually a few offered me art tests.
Ultimately its just a really really hard industry to get a foot in the door without experience and my portfolio just isnt focused enough yet but Ive never given up, its my ninja way lol.
Neonplay should be fun as theres only 3 of us so far and my coworkers say we can all put in our game ideas
