Hmmmmmmmmm yeah that does sound like fun, I'm in south London right now, a 10 min ride on the train from London Bridge so getting somewhere shouldn't be too hard.
I dont know if anyone from here will also be attending?! Eitherway im game for a meet up of sorts... although ill probably already be with people i know but who cares, the more the merrier.
its alright dude, i'm a complete social retard with a bunch of other problems. everyone welcome. just think its important to start networking and making friends with people in the industry.

Perhaps a thread of its own about gamesgrads?
that sounds pretty cool but it looks like its strictly for students so might be good idea for you to start another thread for that. i might email them though to see if non students are allowed.
it would be cool to actually go some where that isn't a pub or a CG related event. somewhere we can get some inspiration from, and sketch if you want or talk photos or just chat to each other.
I don't know anyone that does 3d near me either. Thanks good we have internet. I envy you all that went to GDC. I am going to do my best to be ready for the next one.
Yeah, if people organise something I will come along if I can. Art gallery sounds good, the V&A has a nice sculpture collection and some seating if people want to draw stuff.
cool, glad more peopel are getting interested. i guess would some time around the end of April or May be ok for everyone? is that too soon too far away?
i've loving this site the last few months http://www.secret-london.co.uk/Welcome.html lots of cool places that not many people know about, good places to get inspiration and not too many tourists, although there are people bloody every where in london lol Any things on the secret london site sound interesting to you ?
like Mop suggested VA is always good, i really like the British museum too, they both huge, lots of cool stuff.
just through in any suggestions of dates and places
I'll be there at the end of April, everything's booked so i'm kind of non-flexible.. would be great to meet & beer though, if anyone can make it in that timeframe.
I'm currently living in Newcastle, which is slightly far from London. Neverthless, if such event happens I will certainly stop by, it's been a while since the last time I've been in London.
I almost feel bad for you, guys; you will have a chance to hear my horrible accent, which is by far not the most pleasant thing.

As for your folio, it looks good, but dont be afraid to post and get some critiques on individual pieces. It really helps, methinks..

Hey Skulburn what part of the country you from?
to be honest i'm crap at organising stuff lol so any input would be great
Heroic amounts of beer + urban exploration of abandoned asylums with cameras = win.
I'm in and out and around London quite a bit but will depend on dates I suspect.
would it be weird to invite the GA guys too? or would it end up like that scene from anchorman when the different media teams have that fight lol

I'm thinking about a Friday, Saturday-ish type thing for some pints and whatnot. So what about a yay/nay on the 11th and 12th of June?
I know its a bit far out in the future, but it allows all of us to get our shit together before it goes down :P
