Yeah definitely agree. That was a really intense game. I honestly thought the Americans were going to win. Going into the last 15 minutes of play I was just thinking to myself 'this has upset written all over it'. Then you have USA scoring that late goal and that much closer to putting it away.
Again, I dont think I've seen 2 teams play that hard in a long time. You could tell a lot of guys were hustling hard, and giving it everything they had. It was really amazing to watch. Congrats to both teams but of course I'm very happy to see Canada win that game
yaaay \o/ I'm Canadian and far from home, so this is very nice! Canada's just made the record for most gold medals won in a winter olympics ever, but the USA to their credit has also earned the most medals of any colour in any winter olympics this year, so congrats to everybody!
London may have trouble living up to it in 2012, but I suspect i'll be here to find out
What a amazing game!!! I am pretty upset USA got silver but at the same time I am very happy for Vancouver and Canada as I owe a lot to how my life turned out because of moving there. So enjoy this!! Wish I still lived downtown to enjoy the madness
That was probably the best hockey game I've ever seen. Intense from start to finish and so evenly matched.
Crosby was playing like crap (especially in this game) but as soon as he snuck that one in we were all screaming "Redemption! We forgive you!". Miller looked like he wanted to kill himself for letting it in.
I think Nash deserved MVP on the Canadian side. Didn't score a lot and wasn't fancy but damn he made stuff happen every shift of every game. He was the guy always gaining momentum for the other shifts to carry through on. Rock solid to the end.
Congrats to Canada for sure. I also think that USA did a fantastic job, especially Miller, and we did beat team Canada in the 5 to 3 game. Either way, a large number of both Canadian and USA players play for teams outside their country which kinda brings some irony to the Olympic games!
SO proud to be canadian. these past few weeks have been nothing but good times and good feelings. canadian pride EVERYWHERE. great olympic games by EVERYONE. loved watching them.
awesome game,
oh and that stats table is summer and winter combined, he should have just sorted for winter medals, then the countries are much closer and norway is on top.
I was pulled on this one. I live in the home of the Red Wings, and Canada was using our coach, so I wanted to root for them. Yet, Team USA had a Wings player on it, and 6 of the players were from around my part of Michigan (Including Miller).
Well done though Canada. I really dislike Crosby, so I hate that he got the winning goal, but I'll get over it. He was just such a classless, dirty playing, ass when we played The Penquins in the playoffs, that I find it hard to have any respect for the guy.

How is he classless? Is it because of his late arrival to shake hands at the end of game 7 last year?
It was a great game with Canada winning, and you def need to show some respect to their team, and their players, it was incredible. (I am a bigger hockey fan as a result)
It wasn't about the handshake. It was how he handled himself throughout the game (there was another guy too, but I'm drawing a blank on his name). Their tactic throughout the playoffs was to try to injure our players by high sticking and putting their stick into other players skates. Sad thing was, they lost every game where they pulled that shit. Once they learned that it wasn't hurting the Wings, they stopped, and started winning.

It was an amazing game. I kind of wish it was on later at night though, better atmosphere.
