I'm half korean but native of south korea, so naturally I'm all about it, there's a huge market over there and spilling it on to us here in the states only mean more jobs.
Oh cool. TERA is pretty much the only asian MMO that I find interesting at all. I love the idea of a raccoon with a giant mace smaching goblins in the face.
okay man i'm not part of the 'they took our jobs!' crowd at all, but that is not how outsourcing works. It does not flow both ways from the cheaper job market to the more expensive one. This is less about outsourcing and more about a wealthy, successful company expanding.

Good point. I agree this isn't outsourcing to pick up cheaper labor, but just like companies go over there to start up new ventures its nice to see that's it a bit more of a two way street. I think its a little more health for everyone when its not one way.
To top it off I've had about all I can take of the "I lost my job, its the damn Chinese that stolled it! Wheres my pitch fork" It seems to me like companies shed jobs but didn't rush to fill those slots with local or foreign labor, the jobs just evaporated in a effort to stop the "bleeding", maximize profits whatever the excuse was bla bal bla...
It seems to me, the effort going into hating China could be redoubled into portfolio building.
What the hell where we talking about? Oh yea Jobs, sweet!

Agreed. One of the problems with losing your jobs to china is great artists in china work just as hard as great artists in america, and that's probably harder than whoever is complaining works.
Not to sound like the killjoy bummer, but it says in the article that the studio will open a subsidiary that will localize and market the games that are made in korea.
Sounds like they're making a translation and PR house. Not really a dev studio.

Totally with you on that, love it there. Where else do you have Mountains, Desert, Rainforest and the Ocean all within a few hours of drive.
